Leiston is placed between some of Suffolk's most famous seaside tourist locations. While Sizewell Beach probably has more notoriety for its nuclear power stations, it is often overlooked as being the same beach as that at Aldeburgh or Southwold.
Sizewell Beach is a popular location with a pay and display car park, tea room and beach huts. The location provides great recreational space with coastal walks and sea views.
The beach area is only a short distance from the Town Centre and the CLT believes that, as part of the Leiston's local amenities, it offers shoppers and visitors a broader day out and family experience.
The area is served by a number of excellent guest houses, B&Bs and camp sites that accommodate visitors to our locality. They form a vital link to economic prosperity of the town and its retailers.
The National Park Run initiative has a regular meeting on the beach and is going from strength to strength.
